Turtle Room:
Cheryl (Lead Teacher) has been at Red Caboose since 1974. She has been in the Turtle Room since 1981, after working in the Elephant and Bumblebee Rooms. She is married, has two adult children and one grandchild,
and lives in Windsor. She enjoys rubber stamping and reading.
Ernie has been at Red Caboose since 1983. Born in Texas, Ernie was a migrant worker in many parts of the country. She has 4 sons, 1 daughter, many grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. She enjoys spending time with her family.
Sue has been in the Turtle Room since 1987. Her favorite activities with the children are music & dance, and reading to them. In her spare time, she enjoys the theater and music, and spending time outside.
Elephant Room:
Gary (Lead Teacher) has been an Elephant since 1979. He enjoys playing guitar and clarinet with the kids, and doing singing and movement activities.Denice started at Red Caboose in 1978. She has worked in the Bumblebee and Turtle Rooms, and has been in the Elephant Room since 1989. She most enjoys doing messy art projects.
Kathy has worked with preschool age children since 1975, and with school age children since 1986. She is the mother of three children and also has 3 grandchildren. She enjoys music, reading and gardening.
Lisa began at Red Caboose as a
substitute in 2007. She is the mother of
three children. She enjoys music and art. She gardens and works on the restoration of
her 100 year old house.
Bumblebee Room:
Crystal (Lead Teacher) has been with Red Caboose since 1984. In the classroom she especially enjoys conducting group games and music & movement activities. Outside the classroom she spends time with her family and enjoys herb gardening and reading.Kari has been a Bumblebee teacher since September of 2000. In the classroom, some of her favorite activities reading books, art, and field trips. Outside the classroom she enjoys spending time outdoors, crafts and shopping.
Diana has been a Bumblebee teacher since April 2002. She likes to get the children involved in storytelling, science projects, dramatic play and craft projects. Her spare time is spent with her two daughters, scrapbooking, and just relaxing.
Grasshopper Room:
Leigh has worked in the field of child care since 1993. She loves children of all ages, and considers herself to be a “big kid” at heart. She enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.Janet (Lead Teacher) has worked at Red Caboose since 1982. She lives in Stoughton with her husband, 2 kids, 3 dogs, and a guinea pig. In her spare time she likes to do scrapbooking, stamping and reading.
Karen has worked in the field of early childhood since 1983. Walking trips in the neighborhood, music, cooking, and observing nature are some of the activities she enjoys in the classroom.
